• Spirit Masquerade Dance with DJ Omar Aena
STEP INTO THE TRUE ESSENCE OF HALLOWEEN
Join us in honoring our departed ancestors and friends,
at the time of year when the veil between worlds is thought to be thinnest.
Many cultures mark this passage — Día de Muertos, Samhain, Giorno dei Morti, All Souls' Day.
This is our community's co-creation.
The evening begins with silent candle lighting, followed by a
community masquerade celebrating the lives of those who have passed on.
Dress Warmly: The Mine stays at a consistent 55º all year. Please wear layers.
Wear Non-Slip Shoes: If it has been raining, the floor of the mine may be damp or wet in some spots. Please plan for that.

BEFORE YOU COME
Dress to honor your loved one. Consider a mask or crown made with objects they owned or loved. Wear their dress or shirt, or a style they liked. Incorporate colors or symbols that were meaningful to them — or simply wear something that reminds you of them, however small. This can be in honor of a pet who crossed, too. No Halloween costumes, please, unless they connect to the intention of the evening.
Dress warmly. The mine stays at a consistent 55º year-round. Please wear layers.
Wear non-slip shoes. If it has been raining, the floor of the mine may be damp in places, and the walk in is over uneven ground and gravel.
This is a time for quiet reflection, even through the dancing. If you'd like to chat, please do so near the food area.
All ages, faiths, and cultures are welcome. Children are welcome and are asked to stay with family, keeping respectful quiet during the first hour.
This event happens rain or shine.
Tickets are $30, with sliding-scale options available. Purchase HERE.
Handmade leather masks are available to purchase in advance, or to rent at the event. Purchase HERE.
